Honkers split with Jays, Gervais one inning from perfection

The Northwest Honkers split today with the Kelowna Jays in a double header at Shorecrest HS.
After six complete innings Honkers pitcher Dalton Gervais was throwing a perfect game when Kelowna hitters finally got to him in the seventh scoring three and Honker hitters unable to fight back losing 3-0.
In game two Honkers J.D. Scholten threw eight innings for the win with Justin Ansdell closing one inning for the save. Honker bats came alive to win the game 3-0 to split the day with the Jays.
Honkers face off with a double header against the Kamloops Sundevils Sunday, June 9th starting at 10AM at Shorecrest High School. Come support your Honkers! HONK HONK!!
