Honkers split with Orioles

The Northwest Honkers traveled up to Trial, B.C. this past weekend splitting the four game series with the Trail Orioles.

In game one Honkers Jason Salers pitched six innings for the win 11-0. Honkers short stop Brandon Dormaier, third baseman Jake Hines and right fielder Jeff Wyner each had a double in the game with Hines driving in two RBI’s. In game two of Saturday Honkers Bobby Wassmann pitched 3.2 innings for the loss, 7-10. Hines had a double for the Honkers in the game.

In game one on Sunday, Honkers Dalton Gervais pitched six innings for the win 6-3 with Justin Ansdell pitching one inning for the save. Honkers first baseman Cameron Padron and second baseman Ben Chavarria each had a double in the game. In game two Honkers Blake Fulghum had a great start pitching six innings giving up only three hits and no runs but the Trial Orioles exploded in innings seven and eight putting up five runs each inning for the win 10-8.

The Honkers face the Everett Merchants Tuesday, June 18th at Shorecrest High School at 7:00PM. HONK HONK!!
