Honkers offense comes alive

The Northwest Honkers offense came alive tonight defeating Laces Baseball Club 13-8 at Cascade High School in Everett.

Honkers Tanner Braun pitched five innings striking out three with Spencer Trautmann in relief and Jeff Wyner to close for the win. Honkers were up 1-0 in the second and gave up three in the bottom of the second. But came back to tie it up in the top of the third and regained the lead 5-3 in the fifth but giving up two in the bottom for a tied game 5-5 going into the sixth. Honkers offense then came alive in the eighth inning rallying for eight runs to win the game 13-8. Honkers right fielder Tyler Cherin and pinch hitter Casey Fithian each had a double in the game. Second baseman Martin Lawrence went three for three with a walk and three RBI’s in the game. Several Honker players had a multiple hit game.

The Honkers head to Wenatchee to face the Wenatchee Applesox Thursday night at 7:00PM at Paul Thomas Sr. Field. HONK HONK!!
