Chapman University is a private, non-profit university located in Orange, California affiliated with the Christian Church that is an NCAA Division III affiliate and competes in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC). The Chapman University Panthers competed in the SCIAC championship game in 2014 but did not advance to the NCAA Division III playoffs.
“The Honkers are very proud of Jeff being about to transfer after just one year of community college baseball to such an elite school as Chapman University. The fact that he was accepted into the school and the baseball program shows that he put in a lot of work not only on the field but in the classroom as well. We have confidence that Jeff is going to do very well in that environment and we look forward to seeing him back on the mound next summer in a Honker uniform,” said general manger Martin Lawrence.
