Truex hit .286 while with the Honkers with two home runs, one triples, 11 doubles and 27 RBI’s. His collegiate career was spent at Linfield College (2011-2014) in McMinville, Oregon where he was awarded NCAA Division III All American and also helped lead the team to win the National Championship his Junior year. He was also selected to the 2013 National Championship All-Tournament Team, Rawlings NCAA All Western Regional team in 2013 and the Northwest Conference All League teams in 2011, 2013 and 2014.

“Anytime a Honker can move on to play at a higher level it is a proud moment for us. Clayton is a very hard working and diligent ball player and much deserving of everything he gets out of this opportunity. On behalf of our entire organization, I wish Clayton nothing but the best. Congrats,” said Honkers general manager Martin Lawrence.
