Honkers sweep Burnaby

The Northwest Honkers hosted league opponents the Burnaby Bulldogs Sunday in a double header taking both games 5-1 and 3-1.

In game one the Honkers bats did not let up chipping away at the score each inning scoring two in the second and one in the third, fourth and sixth innings. Honkers Bobby Wassmann pitched a complete game for the win. Honkers second baseman Will Hall was 4-4 on the day with a double, three RBI’s and two stolen bases.

In game two the Honkers bats kept going scoring one in the second, third and sixth innings. Honkers Jason Salers pitched eight innings for the win with Brad Bennett in to close for the save. Salers had ten strikeouts with only six hits on the game.
