Honkers season write-ups

Honkers defeated the Burnaby Bulldogs 16-6 coming out strong early in the game scoring eight runs in the second inning. But the Bulldogs answered back scoring five in the forth. The Honkers battled right back with five runs in the fifth and three in the sixth. Honkers right fielder Andrew Cherin had a home run for the Honkers with two doubles from right fielder Hunter Bingham.

The Honkers drop another to the Seattle Studs 16-4 unable to stop the Studs bats. Honkers center fielder Jacob Zanon and right fielder Dalton Gervais each had a home fun for the Honkers. Honkers Dirk Dembroski pitched 4.1 innings for the loss.

The Honkers hosted the San Francisco Seals for a two game series taking game one 10-2 but dropping game two 2-1 late in the game after a tied up battle into extra innings. In game one Honkers left fielder Jonathan Castillo had a triple with short stop Will Hall, center fielder Jacob Zanon and first baseman Cameron Padron each hitting a double. Honkers Anthony Kast pitched eight innings for the win. In game two the Honkers held a 1-0 lead into the top of the ninth with the Seals tied it up sending the game into extra innings. Honkers Tanner Braun pitched 7.2 innings with Jeff Wyner in relief for the loss.

Honkers lose a tough league game to the Highline Bears dropping the game 2-0. Honkers Henry McAree pitched six innings for the loss with Justin Ansdell in relief.

Honkers faced the Trail Orioles in a double header league match up taking both games 6-5 and 6-2. Honkers designated hitter Andrew Cherin and right fielder Dalton Gervais each had a double in the game. Honkers Jason Salers pitched six innings with Bryan Duncan and Spencer Trautmann in relief for the win. In game two left fielder Jonathan Castillo had a triple for the Honkers with center fielder Jacob Zanon, first baseman Cameron Padron and right fielder Jordan Tescher each having a double. Honkers Bobby Wassmann pitched six innings for the win.
