Honkers season write-ups

The Northwest Honkers faced the Everett Merchants dropping the league match-up 7-2. The Merchants came up swinging putting up four in the second innings. Honkers catcher Ryan Pladson hit a double for the Honkers driving in one.

Honkers then defeated the Kamloops Sundevils 7-1 putting up five in the sixth inning to seal the win. Center fielder Jacob Zanon had a triple for the Honkers and left fielder Hunter Bingham had a double. Honkers middle infield, second baseman Jordan Padilla and short stop Will Hall, each drove in two for the Honkers in the game. Honkers Brad Bennett pitched a complete game for the win giving up only two hits.

Honkers dropped another tough one to the Seattle Studs, 9-5, with a run at the win late in the game but was to little to late. Honkers pinch hitter Danny Torlai had a triple for the Honkers. First baseman Cameron Padron, right fielder Jonathan Castillo and left fielder Hunter Bingham each had a double for the Honkers. Honkers Brad Bennett pitched 5.1 innings for the loss.

Honkers lose a tough match-up to the Everett Merchants, unable to stop the Merchants from scoring every inning except the fifth. Left fielder Torlai had a double for the Honkers. Dembroski pitched 3.2 innings for the loss.

The Honkers had a big win on the road against the West Coast Guns defeating them 16-6. The Honkers were down early 5-2 to the Guns but continued to answer back putting up ten runs in the eighth inning to seal the win. Honkers Jacob Zanon had a triple in the game driving in four. Catcher Shane Stober had a double for the Honkers driving in three. Honkers Tanner Braun started the game pitching 5.2 innings with Spencer Trautmann in relief for the win.

The Honkers faced the West Coast Guns in a two game series winning 5-3 in a closer match-up. The Honkers grew a large lead going up 5-1 but the Guns answered back in the eighth and ninth to make a battle out of the game but the Honkers were able to hold them off 5-3. Honkers Anthony Kast pitched 6.0 innings for the win. Center fielder Zanon and third baseman Jordan Tescher each had a triple in the game for the Honkers.

The Honkers faced the Hurricanes for a double header winning both 10-4 and 7-3. Third baseman Tescher had a triple for the Honkers and right fielder Andrew Cherin had a double. Honkers Jason Salers pitched six innings for the win with Jordan Padilla in relief for one inning. In game two Tescher had a home run and double for the Honkers driving in three. Honkers Bobby Wassmann pitched seven innings for the win.
