Honkers defeat the Hurricanes

The Northwest Honkers faced the Snoqualmie Valley Hurricanes at Ravensdale Park on Friday defeating the Hurricanes 2-1.

Both teams remained quite through the fifth inning before the Honkers drove in two in the sixth. The Hurricanes were not going to go away quietly as they had the tying and winning run on base the Honkers center fielder Britton Abbott caught a pop fly to center and threw out the runner on second for outs two and three to seal the win. Honkers designated hitter Erik Peterson went 2 for 4 for the Honkers with a double in the game.

Honkers Bobby Wassmann followed starter Brad Bennett with four innings for the win with Oliver Wange pitching the ninth for the save.
