The Northwest Honkers traveled to Everett to face the Everett Merchants in a league matchup. Honkers errors lead to an early lead for the Merchants putting up two in the bottom of the first. The Honkers closed in on the lead putting one on the board in the top of the third but the Merchants bats answered back quickly driving in two in the bottom of the third. The Honkers battled again in the top of the sixth but errors allowed for the Merchants to drive in four in the bottom of the sixth and two in the seventh and was to much for the one run answers by the Honkers dropping the matchup 10-4.
The Merchants bats put up 12 hits in the matchup and only allowed five for the Honkers. RHP Brad Bennett pitched 5.1 innings for the loss.
Honkers second baseman Jordan Padilla went 2 for 5 on the night with an RBI. Left fielder Andrew Cherin had a double for the Honkers.
