Honkers Offense Gets Big Win

After a long road trip and four game series sweep over the weekend the Honkers bounce back Monday evening to face the Alaska Goldpanners in a non-league matchup at University of Puget Sound.

The Honkers offense continued to roll from the weekend putting up 13 hits in the matchup defeating the Goldpanners 10-3. The Goldpanners get up early on the Honkers driving in one in the top of the first but was quickly answered in the second and third inning as the Honkers took the lead 2-1. The Honkers offense didn’t slow down there driving in six in the fifth inning and two in the sixth with only a push of two runs in the fifth by the Goldpanners. Honkers designated hitter Andrew Cherin went 3 for 4 with two doubles and driving in four. RHP Jerome Byndloss threw a complete game giving up just seven hits.
