Honkers take one from Merchants at home

The Northwest Honkers faced league opponent the Everett Merchants at home Tuesday night at Fall City Community Park. After falling behind 3-0 in the top of the fourth, the Honkers answered back scoring one in the bottom of the fourth and tying up the game with two in the bottom of the fifth. The pitching staff held the Merchants silent the remainder of the game while the Honkers took the win in the bottom of the seventh driving in two.
Catcher Scott Morton drove in three for the Honkers with a single run home run. Short Stop Ethan Klosterboer went 2 for 3 for the Honkers with one RBI. Honkers right fielder Sam Chadick had a double in the match-up.
Honkers starting pitcher Jerome Byndloss went eight innings for the win with Ryan Sheeley for one to get the save.
