The sun is shining, the swimming is gorgeous, and the grass is Honker green. Summer is back and another season of Honker baseball is as fired up as your backyard charcoal grill! A new collection of Honker players took the field in Kennewick Washington last weekend for the annual Tri-Cities Memorial Day Tournament. The Honkers are still hunting for their first win of 2018, but General Manager Martin Lawrence was encouraged by what he saw on the diamond. “We’ve got a very talented roster, it was good to see a little bit of who’s who this weekend. I think It’s going to be a very fun season.” Martin and his wife Jocelyn enter their 9th season at the helm of the Honkers.

The 2018 season features a roster with many returning Honkers but plenty of new faces too. Divisions I, II, and III of the NCAA are represented on this summers team with former college and pro players present as well. Also new in 2018, The Northwest Honkers will begin their first ever season of live play by play. All home games will be broadcast to you via YouTube live from Fall City Washington. A motivated behind the scenes staff is excited to bring Honkers Baseball into your homes if you can’t make it to the park.

The Honkers will be back in action Thursday May 31st against the Cowlitz Black Bears. Following two more road games on Friday the 1st and Saturday the 2nd, the Honkers will host their home opener in Fall City on Sunday June 3rd taking on the Highland Bears. A link to our live play by play action of Sunday’s game will be posted to the Northwest Honkers webpage prior to game time. Honk Honk!
