The Northwest Honkers move to a 4-7 record on the season following Monday’s loss to the Yakima Valley Pippins. The non league match up vs the West Coast League Pippins wrapped up just after 10pm Monday. Josh Snider made his first Honkers start and was saddled with the loss. Manager Martin Lawrence was not discouraged by the southpaws outing. “He’ll be a guy that can throw a lot of innings for us in the back end of that rotation. Definitely not a bad first start from Josh, I’m not worried about him.” Stuart Maes, Garrett Gagnon, and Sam Krapf also worked in relief for the Honkers.

The Honkers will continue Pacific International League play Wednesday as they take on the Seattle Studs at home. The Honkers are 3-1 in PIL play this year and the much anticipated first match up with the top ranked Studs will get under way from Fall City at 5:30 pm.
