Honkers Win Big, Start off 2019 with a BANG

The NW Honkers have started off the 2019 season by rattling off 7 wins in 8 games, as they prepare for the beginning of there two month stretch of games in league play. After a successful tournament in Tri-Cities, the Honkers took two wins from the Victoria Mavericks, winning by scores of 8-1 and 12-4.
The Honkers were led by Kendall Yackley, Jordan Padilla and Cameron Padron offensively, as all have gotten off to sizzling starts. Jordan currently leads the team with a .462 batting average and a team leading 12 hits. Yackley and Padilla have both already homered this year as well, and will look to get the team more involved in there power surge. Another standout has been pitcher Tanner Braun, who has stifled batters thus far with a 0.90 ERA in in 10 innings pitched, and striking out 8 in that span.
The Honkers will look to continue there hot streak in Victoria with games against the Coalminers and Pilots before they head back to the States for the beginning of there homestand against the Wallbangers and Edmonds CC.
