Honkers Blow Lead in the 9th: Fall to Studs 5-3

The Studs first struck in this one as they would take a 1-0 lead in the top of the 3rd. The lead would be overcome by the Honkers though as they managed to take a 3-1 lead of their own after 6 innings. The Studs would score 1 run in the 8th to give way to the 9th as the Honkers had a 3-2 lead. The lead would not be sustained for the Honkers as the Studs scored 3 runs in the top of the 9th to stun the Honkers and ultimately take the win.
Josh Snider had himself a fine night at the plate by rattling off a 2 run homer in the 6th to give the Honkers their 3-1 lead. Brock Bueno and Jordan Padilla each ended up finishing with multi-hit games as Bueno also had an RBI. Austin Pasicka started the night for the Honkers as he finished with a good start. Pasicka threw 6 innings, giving up only 1 earned run, and striking out 4. Chaz Lopez would throw the next 3 innings although things wouldn’t go as well for him. Lopez gave up 1 run in the 8th and then ended up blowing the lead in the 9th by giving up 3 runs, although not all were earned.
